And to round out May's training events is the Tile & Grout Seminar that took place in WAXIE Las Vegas yesterday. We had a fantastic turn out with a couple attendees who drove out from Victorville, CA & one person who drove all the wat down from Northern Utah. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Cleaning tile & grout can be a tricky proposition, especially dealing with the grout crevice and there always seems to be miles and miles of tile to cover, particularly in public restrooms & kitchens. Plus grouted surfaces can harbor mold, bacteria & awful odors if not cleaned properly, and it can easily impact your Standards of Cleanliness causing customers to have a negative impression of your business and/or facility.

WAXIE's Chemical Specialist John McPhail taught the seminar along with Source One Sales, LLC's Regional Sales Manager Greg Eldart. They went over several floor care systems and products that covered the cleaning and maintenance of various types of grouted flooring materials before diving into the products themselves that are specifically suited to cleaning, protecting & sealing grout. But products are only one part of the solution.

John & Greg additionally explained what issues can cause a lot of tile & grout problems in the first place, especially as once you've got your floors looking nice and shiny you want to prevent that bacteria, mold and grime from coming back any time soon. Once such solution is our line of Bioactive Maintenance Products that are formulated to help with drain cleaning and maintenance, which can be a huge source of some of those tile & grout problems, but they can get rid of other types of gross industrial buildup and odors found in or near tiled areas.

In addition to the classroom portion of the seminar, John took everyone out into the warehouse for an autoscrubber demonstration!
